There is a ton of activity in the “Office” space. Everyone is familiar with Open Office from Sun and likely the online offerings from Google (Google Docs) and Zoho, but there is a new player on the scene about ready to enter beta. If the preview information being touted are anything close to the real thing, Live Documents could be a real winner.

The TechCrunch blog today had a post titled Someone Call A Lawyer: Live Documents Clones Microsoft Office in which they question both the legality and the veracity of the information posted. I signed up for a beta invitation just be be sure I am abreast of what is going on in this space.
